Down and Out at 40 years old- back on top at age 45
San Jose, Calif. - July 17, 2007 - To hear Dennis Mulgannon speak today it's hard to imagine that just seven years ago he was going through a divorce after an 18 year marriage, was financially insolvent from an Internet company gone south and so out of shape he had a hard time walking up a flight of stairs.
Not anymore. Now at 6'2 200 lbs.(from his former 225+ lbs.) the 45 year old father of three (pictured last month with his six month old son Braedon) is now spearheading a national franchise roll-out of Men's Personal Training Gyms called Athletic Nation. Based on a book Mr. Mulgannon wrote in 2003 called "Reality Fitness in 90 Days...For Men" the gyms are revolutionizing the personal training industry.
"Our demographic (men in the 30-64 age group) have not had a personal training model that works for them, until now." says Mulgannon. "We are very well positioned to dominate a new sector that we are creating". He adds "When you have a passion for improving peoples lives, financial reward tends to follow naturally ".
"I wrote the book not knowing if there were other guys that were in the same position as I was...low and behold I wasn't alone in my struggle to get healthy and physically fit again, I AM our demographic". |
Reality Fitness in 90 Days...FOR MEN- the book.
The book was the basis for the personal training program that Dennis created based on getting rid of his own excuses about why he was fat and out of shape.
Pictured to the right with his two beautiful teenage daughters, Dennis leads his life and company by example as he commonly refers to as "Walking the Talk".
Now a fast growing national chain of franchised men's personal training gyms, Athletic Nation with it's "No B.S. No Hype, Just Results" mantra is changing lives of men every day.
Athletic Nation's gym clients include doctors, lawyers, corporate executives, real estate agents, small business owners and even ex-professional athletes. They have their personal and professional lives in check...but NOT their health & fitness.
"We are what men have been looking for...a serious personal training approach that get's them back in the game" says Mulgannon.
